The teenage girls of Orr Shalom’s Beit Goldschmidtour intensive care facility
for adolescent girls as well an Orr Shalom graduate, Michal, recently presented
beautiful and emotional artwork at an exhibition hosted by Bank Hapoalim in Tel
Aviv.
Thirty five youth-centered not-for-profit organizations, including Orr Shalom,
were asked to showcase artwork made by children in their care.
The exhibition raised public awareness about the organizations’
respective missions, and sold the artwork as a fundraiser.
Nearly all of the art contributed by Orr Shalom was sold. The proceeds
from the exhibition will be used to continue supporting therapeutic art lessons
for the girls living in Beit Goldschmidt.
This is the second year that Bank Hapoalim has helped Israel-based
not-for-profits
gain exposure. The exhibition raised a significant amount of money,
and was featured on the Friday night news in Israel. We hope to be invited
to exhibit at Bank Hapoalim again next year.
